Abstract
In the internet of things(IoT), reducing energy consumption in wireless sensor devices in crucial for prolonging their lifespan and ensuring sustainable network operation. However, optimizing energy usage often compromises the Quality of Service (QoS) provisioning, leading to a delicate tradeoff between energy efficiency and system performance. This research proposes a novel Quality of Service (QoS) -aware Energy – Efficient Clustering and Multi-Path Routing Algorithm tailored for IoT wireless sensor networks. The proposed algorithm seeks to achieve an optimal balance between minimizing energy consumption and maintaining high QoS standards, such as throughput, delay, and packet loss, essential for IoT applications. Through extensive simulations, the proposed communication protocol is evaluated and compared against state-of-the-art protocols, demonstrating its effectiveness in improving both energy efficiency and QoS metrics. The results underscore the potential of this approach to enhance IoT network sustainability without sacrificing service quality.
